Grace and Glorie. " Grace and Glorie " is an American television play that was broadcast on December 13, 1998, as part of the Hallmark Hall of Fame series on CBS. The cast included Gena Rowlands and Diane Lane. The production was shot on location in Waterbury, Connecticut, and directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman.
At first, Grace rejects Glorie's offer to help but eventually their relationship evolves into a friendship. Grace teaches Glorie to feed chickens and gather eggs and Glorie teaches Grace to read. When Glorie realizes that Grace signed the contract to sell her farm without ever reading it, they band together to save the land.
