Live Wires is a 1946 film starring the comedy team of The Bowery Boys. [1] It is the first film in the series, which lasted until 1958 and included forty-eight films, after the comedy team of the East Side Kids was revamped and renamed The Bowery Boys . The last entry in the series was In the Money, which was released by Allied Artists in 1958.
Live Wires: Directed by Phil Karlson. With Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, Mike Mazurki, Bobby Jordan. Slip, who has difficulties in keeping any job for long, is hired by the District Attorney's office to serve summons and warrants to problematic citizens.

The film's working title was Stepping Around. The original story was actually written by noted writer Dore Schary, who took the name of his then-infant son Jeb as his pseudonym for this film.
