  3. Mulan 2 treats us to a sequel that is both touching, fun, and endearing. I didn't find the soundtrack themes as good as part 1, but was enjoyable, and sequence music was fine as well. The animation is very good, and the story has good pacing, and care of plot. A movie to be enjoyed by parents and kids alike. 8/10.

  4. Mulan II: Directed by Darrell Rooney, Lynne Southerland. With Ming-Na Wen, BD Wong, Mark Moseley, Lucy Liu. While preparing for their wedding, Shang and Mulan are suddenly sent off on a secret mission. Mushu starts to meddle, and a surprise attack by Mongolians doesn't help either.

The ending of Mulanseems like it's pretty conclusive: China is saved from the Huns and Mulan is engaged to the valiant Li Shang. It's an adequate place to end the narrative, but with characters as compelling as these two, there's so much more story to tell that audiences are curious about. Though China was victorious over the Huns, it continues to ...

The themes this sequel engages with feel in-tune with many of the overarching ideas from the first movie. Mulan's independence and her ability to choose her destiny continue to be integral to the narrative. In the first movie, we saw Mulan grow from a misunderstood young woman into the hero of China, one epic training montageand exhilarating advent...

A notable feature of this sequel is that, despite being a direct-to-video release, it saw the return of many important voice actors from the original film. Ming-Na Wen and Lea Salonga return as Mulan's speaking and singing voices respectively. BD Wong is back as Li Shang, now promoted from captain to general. Even the trio of Yao (Harvey Fierstein)...

Reviewer. Marcus Yoars. Movie Review. By the end of the original Mulan, our brave female warrior had saved all of China and, in the process, won the heart of newly appointed army general Shang. The two are now happily engaged and proof that opposites do in fact attract. Mulan is carefree, impulsive and strong.
