While exorcising Draculas castle a priest unknowingly brings the Count back from the dead. Once awakened, Dracula forces the priest to assist him and seeks out the Monsignor's beautiful daughter as his next victim.
The frightened priest flees and falls by the edge of a frozen stream. Beneath him lies the body of Dracula, who is revived by blood trickling from the wounded priest. Dracula arises, places the priest under his spell, and vows revenge on the monsignor.
A year has passed since the demise of Dracula, buried under the ice in the river that flows past his castle. Ernst Mueller [Rupert Davies], monsignor of the monastery at Keinenberg, has decided to visit the village to see that all is well.
