I Love You Phillip Morris. After a terrible car accident, Steven Russell, a cop and family man, vows to be true to himself. He comes out of the closet, moves to Florida, and finances a luxurious lifestyle with bad checks and credit cards.
A comedy about a gay con artist who falls in love with another inmate and tries to break him out of prison. The film follows their romantic and criminal adventures, from fraud to faking illness, in a story inspired by true events.
Taking on an extravagant lifestyle, Steven turns to cons and fraud to make ends meet and is eventually sent to the State Penitentiary where he meets the love of his life, a sensitive, soft-spoken man named Phillip Morris.
