  1. The Wooden Horse is one of the quietest films I have ever watched. There are no great dramatic moments, but a steady storyline eventually builds to a climax that has more tension because the story doesn't give way for unlikely drama, jump cuts or jacked up (somethings about to happen!) music.

  5. Review by williamfaeleith ★★★½. Another old favourite that was on TV today. A typical but superior British WWII escape from a German Prisoner of War camp film. This time cunningly using a wooden vaulting horse so they could start the tunnel closer to the camp boundary.
