Harry, Tony and Tom escape prison and meet in the town of Trade Rat where Harry falls in love with Ruby Merril. After robbing the local bank, the three men ride into the desert where they come upon a woman and her newborn son. The mother, who is dying, begs the three to be the baby's godparents.
