Review by Tom dePerto ★ I was finding this midly entertaining until the actual "premise" kicked in. Then a mother of three children tried to poison them by mixing bleach into their food so that they'd hate her and choose to live with their father when their divorce was finalized.

Daddy or Mommy (French: Papa ou maman) is a 2015 French comedy film directed by Martin Bourboulon. A sequel was made a year later, and it was the subject of both an Italian (Mom or Dad?) and a German remake in 2017, as well as a Spanish remake (You Keep the Kids!) in 2021, and a Mexican remake (Papá o Mamá) in 2023.
Film Review. Papa ou maman epitomises the kind of "sounds good on paper" high concept comedy that is proving to be phenomenally successful in France at the moment, even if it fails to deliver more than a barrel-load of easy laughs as its authors struggle to develop the concept into something more substantial than a quick moneyspinner.
Papa ou Maman, a bland, French retread of this theme, is a similar story, but with all the laughs removed. Full Review | Mar 1, 2016
