Aug 31, 2018 · Eli ( Myles Truitt) is a troubled 14-year-old African-American kid growing up in a rough Detroit neighborhood with his tough-but-loving adoptive father Hal ( Dennis Quaid ), who is trying to raise the kid right in the wake of the death of his wife and the imprisonment of his biological son, Jimmy ( Jack Reynor ).
A young boy finds a powerful otherworldly weapon, which he uses to save his older adoptive brother from a crew of thugs. Before long, the two of them are also pursued by federal agents and mysterious mercenaries aiming to reclaim their asset.
