The Angels motorcycle gang has a feud with the Dragons and things get worse after they invite the Angels in the desert town of Lost Cause. The Angels' leader Long John (Scott Glenn) is challenged by the Dragons' leader General (Charles Dierkop) to a race and loses.
On the way they meet up with the Dragons and are invited to come party with some hippies in an old ghost town. The General, leader of the Dragons, is a psychotic dwarf, and his henchman Axe isn't too stable either.
While stopping at a gas station, they meet Magic and Brain, members of the Dragons motorcycle gang, who invite them to Lost Cause, a ghost town inhabited by a hippie commune, where the rest of the gang is having a party. When the Angels arrive in Lost Cause, General, the Dragons' psychopathic leader, challenges Long John to a race.
The trouble starts when one of the hippie girls is murdered and the Dragons decide that one of the Angels did it. A drug deal is foiled when the cops show up. They agree to meet in a few days out...
