Aug 13, 2018 · Brief Synopsis. The three Williams sisters start out singing in their church choir in Harlem in the late 1950s and become a successful girl group in the 1960s. But their sudden rise to stardom causes problems in their lives.
Three sisters (Sister and the Sisters) from Harlem become singers. Sister (Lonette McKee) becomes involved with drugs, while Sparkle (Irene Cara) ends up being the one who gets famous. This film tells of how drugs ruin Sister's relationships and eventually end her life.
