User Reviews. The same cast that had previously appeared in the made for TV movie THE HOUSE WITHOUT A Christmas TREE was reunited for this Thanksgiving movie. They seemed to have picked up without a hitch. This one focuses on the feud between two incredibly stubborn old farts--Jason Robards and Barnard Hughes.

Dove Review. This is a heartwarming holiday classic based on the books by Gail Rock. It is the touching Thanksgiving story original called “The Holiday Treasure”. Lisa Lucas, Jason Robards and the late Mildred Natwick star in this made-for-TV show that aired in the 70s.
Set in 1947, The Thanksgiving Treasure takes place on the small Nebraska farm of the Mills family. 11-year-old Addie Mills (Lisa Lucas) is of the opinion that the purpose of Thanksgiving is to turn an enemy into a friend--just as the Pilgrims and the Indians did back in 1620.
Review by Andrew Ford ★★★ Another holiday-based TV movie featuring Jason Robards as a salty old coot soon to be taught a valuable life lesson by his precocious daughter, and I think it's safe to say that this would not have landed on my radar at all were it not for Eleanor Perry's involvement.
