Gunslinger is a 1956 American Western film directed by Roger Corman and starring John Ireland, Beverly Garland and Allison Hayes. The screenplay was written by Mark Hanna and Charles B. Griffith.
The film's working title was The Yellow Rose of Texas. A title card reading "Oracle, Texas Friday, May 21, 1878" opens the film, followed by the brief sequence in which "Marshal Scott Hood" is killed and his wife "Rose" grabs a rifle and shoots at the assailants.

Synopsis by Hal Erickson. Produced by Roger Corman, Gunslinger stars Corman's then-sweetheart Beverly Garland as tough lady-marshal Rose Hood. Dance-hall girl Erica Page (Allison Hayes), Rose's bitterest enemy, hires gunslinger Cane Miro (John Ireland) to bump off the marshal.
