However, for me, 'Innocent Sorcerers' is a superior film to Skolimowski's earliest directorial works as, through the character of Pelagia, a much greater warmth and meaning is expressed. Krystyna Stypulkowska makes a perfect Pelagia - coquettish and flirtatious, but still innocent.
