The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu is a 1980 comedy film. It was the final film featuring star Peter Sellers and David Tomlinson. Aug 8, 1980 · The F.B.I. sends Agents Joe Capone (Sid Caesar) and Pete Williams (Steve Franken) to England to confer with Sir Dennis Nayland Smith (Peter Sellers), an expert on Fu. Nayland suspects Fu will kidnap King George V (Rene Aranda) and Queen Mary (Grace Coyle) and demand the George V diamond as ransom.
As Fu Manchu, he plays a 168-year-old man who starts fading fast after a clumsy assistant spills the vial containing his youth potion. Manchu has to reassemble the secret ingredients, including a precious jewel, and so he stages an international crime wave.
Detective Nayland Smith hunts his 168-year-old nemesis (Peter Sellers), who needs the crown jewels for a youth elixir.

Overview. Fu Manchu's 168th birthday celebration is dampened when a hapless flunky spills Fu's age-regressing elixir vitae. Fu sends his lackeys to round up ingredients for a new batch of elixir, starting with the Star of Leningrad diamond, nabbed from a Soviet exhibition in Washington.
Brief Synopsis. On Dr. Fu Manchu's 186th birthday, someone spills his age-reversing elixir, and the evil doctor sends his minions off to find the ingredients to make more. The first item they need is the Star of Leningrad diamond which they steal while it is on exhibition in Washington.
