So it's not surprising that a movie like "Foodfight!" is one of that rare breed. It's pretty obvious that director/producer/writer Lawrence Kasanoff wanted to make a movie like "Toy Story," but failed to realize that it was the good writing and mature storytelling that made people love that film.

After Dex's friend Daredevil Dan (Wayne Brady), a chocolate squirrel, disappears, Dex begins to investigate. After rebuffing Lady X's attempts to bring him to Brand X's side, Dex is locked in a dryer with Dan to be melted, but the two manage to escape. Dan and Dex find out that Brand X contains an addictive and toxic secret ingredient.
When the supermarket closes at night, the contents inside come to life. The shop becomes a living world for Dex Dogtective and all other creatures inside it at night time. However, with the new Brand X coming into the store, things take a turn for the worst. In other words, it's Toy Story in a grocery store mixed with a poorly rendered version of your worst nightmare.
