The latest chemical experiment by an adolescent nicknamed Genius leads to an accidental explosion and its byproduct, a substance which he eventually calls goo. He, his older sister Nancy and Nancy's boyfriend Mike soon learn that goo, when ingested, makes things grow to giant size.
