Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens (70 acres) is a historic house museum in Akron, Ohio. The estate includes gardens, a greenhouse, carriage house, and the main mansion, one of the largest houses in the United States.
Each of the gardens at Stan Hywet provides its own magic and history for visitors. One of the most beloved is the English Garden, designed by pioneer female landscape architect Ellen Biddle Shipman. The dramatic color and blooms in each garden change with the seasons, giving visitors hours of enjoyment and wonderful photo opportunities.

Dec 15, 2020 · Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens is the 6th largest historic home that is open to the public. (The largest is the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.) It is a National Historic Landmark! The estate had 10 miles of bridle trails for their horses, many of which were international champions.
