The Princeton University Art Museum (PUAM) is the Princeton University gallery of art, located in Princeton, New Jersey. With a collecting history that began in 1755, the museum was formally established in 1882, and now houses over 113,000 works of art ranging from antiquity to the contemporary period.
Dec 13, 2022 · The new Princeton University Art Museum, designed by architect Sir David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates, in collaboration with executive architects Cooper Robertson, will occupy three stories, featuring nine primary interlocked pavilions containing many of the building’s new galleries.
Following in the tradition of civic statuary and public monuments, Princeton’s collection places extraordinary, durable works of art in the path of everyday life for members of the University community and visitors to this beautiful and historic campus.

Construction of a new Museum building at the heart of the University campus is slated to begin in summer 2021. The building complex will encompass the expanded Art Museum as well as the Department of Art & Archaeology and—in its current configuration—Marquand Library.
The Princeton University Art Museum is located in the center of the Princeton University campus, next to Prospect House and only a short walk from Princeton's Nassau Street. Museum admission is free and open to the general public.
