Antigone Rising is a rock band based in New York City. The band's current line up is Cathy Henderson (lead guitar), Kristen Henderson (bass guitar and drums), and Nini Camps (lead vocals and rhythm guitar). The band formed a nonprofit called Girls Rising in 2014 to inspire girls and lgbtq youth to pursue nontraditional careers.
Antigone Rising is best known for grassroots touring, racking up 280 shows a year through the early 2000s before signing a deal with Atlantic Records. Success at country radio as well as on VH-1 and CMT helped solidify the band’s reputation both musically and commercially.
