With a heavy heart and loss for words, I want to let you know that Tom Gray passed away last night at Emory Dekalb Hospital after a long and incredibly brave battle with cancer. Tom and I have been the copilots of Delta Moon for the last 20 years.
Widely considered the leading bluegrass bassist of his generation, Tom Gray was born in Chicago in 1941. His family moved to Washington in 1948 where his father was transferred in his work for a trade association.
