Big Bill Broonzy (born Lee Conley Bradley; June 26, 1893 [1] [2] or 1903 [3] [4] – August 14, 1958) was an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His career began in the 1920s, when he played country music to mostly African-American audiences.
Big Bill Broonzy, American blues singer and guitarist who represented a tradition of itinerant folk blues. He began as a guitar player and later sang, becoming a top-selling blues recording artist by 1940. His songs included ‘Key to the Highway,’ ‘All by Myself,’ and ‘Black, Brown and White.’
