Apr 12, 2022 · Marek Belka is a Polish professor of Economics and politician, who has served as Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Poland in two governments. He is also the former Director of the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) European Department and former Head of Narodowy Bank Polski (National Bank of Poland).
Professor of Economics | President of Narodowy Bank Polski. Born in January 1952 in Łódź, Marek Belka graduated from the University of Łódź with a Master’s degree in economics in 1972 and continued his academic career at the Institute of Economics at his alma mater.
