Hayrünnisa Gül (pronounced [hajɾyˈnisa ˈɟyl]; née Özyurt, born August 18, 1964) is the 11th First Lady of Turkey, as the wife of Abdullah Gül.

She is the wife of the 11th of president of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül. Although she was born in 1965, Beşiktaş/Istanbul; her family is from Kayseri, located in Central Anatolia. She studied in Istanbul, Beyazıt Koca Ragıp Paşa Primary School and Çemberlitaş Kız Lisesi (High School for Girls). She married Abdullah Gül in 1980.

Early life
Emine Erdoğan was born as Cemal and Hayriye Gülbaran’s fifth child and only daughter in Üsküdar, Istanbul. Her family is originally from the southeastern province of Siirt and of Arabdescent. She was educated at Istanbul Mithatpaşa Vocational Evening School for Girls. She did not graduate, however. She has been actively involved in social activities since her youth.
