Josh Shapiro. Joshua David Shapiro [1] (born June 20, 1973) is an American attorney and politician serving since 2023 as the 48th governor of Pennsylvania. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 50th attorney general of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2023 and as a member of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners from 2012 to 2017.
