Michael Thomas McCaul Sr. (born January 14, 1962) is an American attorney, politician and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Texas's 10th congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, he chaired the House Committee on Homeland Security during the 113th, 114th, and 115th Congresses.
Congressman McCaul previously served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, and at the beginning of the 118th Congress, he became the first Texan to chair the Foreign Affairs Committee, which considers legislation that impacts the diplomatic community.
