Raul Ruiz (/ r ɑː ˈ uː l / rah-OOL; born August 25, 1972) is an American physician and politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 25th congressional district. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Born in Zacatecas City, Mexico, Ruiz grew up in Coachella, California.
He represents California’s 25th District, which includes Imperial County, the Eastern Coachella Valley, and the cities of Banning, Beaumont, Blythe, Hemet, Needles, and San Jacinto. Dr. Ruiz resides in Indio, California and serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
