Stadion Poljud is located in the north of the city of Split on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The stadium lies only a kilometre north of Split’s historic city centre, and can thus be easily reached on foot.

Named after the Polijud neighborhood in which it is located, the 34,183 capacity ground is fully known as Gradski stadion u Poljudu and was built for the 1979 Mediterranean Games.
