Aug 30, 2010 · Bramwell is an excellent study of the difficulties faced by a woman doctor in 1800's London (but is also relevant to other countries at the time and later). Jemma Redgrave portrays the frustration and perseverance required to gain acceptance as a surgeon. It has a star-studded cast beloved of British audiences.
