Ohio has a list of specific excuses that can be used to be exempt from reporting for jury duty, including excuses for military, elected official, student, breastfeeding, age, police, medical worker and firefighter.
Juror Eligibility. To be eligible to serve on jury duty, you must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States and a resident of Franklin County.
Jury trials are held in the United States district courts, the common pleas court of each county, the municipal courts, the county courts and in some cases, juvenile and probate courts. In Ohio, a new list of eligible jurors is compiled each year. What are the requirements for being a juror?
