Campion is a British television mystery drama first broadcast on the BBC on 22 January 1989. [1] Each of the eight stories featured across the two series, broadcast in 1989 and 1990 respectively, are adapted from the Albert Campion mystery novels written by Margery Allingham.
With Peter Davison, Brian Glover, Andrew Burt, Moray Watson. In 1930s England, a man from an aristocratic family takes up the pseudonym Albert Campion and, with the help of his ex-burglar manservant, solves mysteries.
After capturing the neighborhood witch in the act of haunting a woodland glade, Campion learns the name of the gang leader who is trying to steal the Gyrth's chalice. Campion is captured and imprisoned in a stable with a murderous horse while the gang readies to assault the Gyrth's stronghold.
When oil is discovered in an obscure Balkan country creating a valuable harbor, Campion is tasked in proving it is legally under charter to a British citizen.
