Shadow Chasers is an American science fiction mystery television series created by Brian Grazer and Kenneth Johnson. Fourteen episodes were produced, ten of which were shown on the ABC television network, the remaining four on the Armed Forces Network. Season 1. Dr. Jonathan MacKensie, professor of anthropology at Georgetown Institute of Science & Technology is 'persuaded' to take over the directorship of Dr. Moorhouse's newly established Paranormal Research Unit to investigate unexplainable phenomena, starting with reports of poltergeist activity in a little town in northern California.
Shadow Chasers features strait-laced British anthropologist Jonathan MacKensie, who is blackmailed by his department head, Dr. Julianna Moorhouse of the fictional Georgetown Institute Paranormal Research Unit, into investigating a supposed "haunting" involving a teenage boy in return for a research grant.
