In a medieval yet futuristic world, Clay, Aaron, Lance, Princess Macy, and Axl are five young knights who protect the kingdom of Knighton and its capital Knightonia from Jestro, the Book of Monsters, and their army of Lava Monsters.
The Nexo Knights are a team of young warriors with advanced technology. Newly graduated from the Knights' Academy, they are sworn to protect Knighton from all that is evil or harms the realm, especially the arch-necromancer Monstrox . They operate from their "rolling castle" base, the Fortrex.
