Are You Afraid of the Dark? was renewed in February 2020, just as the COVID-19pandemic made its way through North America. Nickelodeon didn't reveal much about the specifics back then, but did note that ACE Entertainment would once again produce the series, with Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman on board as executive producers.
Are You Afraid of the Dark? will release in 2021.
