Grantchester is a British ITV detective drama set in the 1950s in the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester. Its first series was broadcast in 2014. The first three series featured Anglican vicar Sidney Chambers ( James Norton ); subsequent series have featured vicar William Davenport ( Tom Brittney ).
Set in the English countryside’s most idyllic village, Grantchester follows two unlikely allies as they solve a series of cases that reveal the dark side of early 1950s England.
In GRANTCHESTER, a young vicar and a veteran cop join forces to solve baffling murders around a placid English village in 1953. Local vicar Sidney Chambers (James Norton) becomes embroiled in a murder investigation. Amanda's engagement ring is stolen on the same night a murder is committed.
