The fifth season of Martha Speaks began airing on June 24, 2013 with the episodes "Puppy Skits" and "Dinosaurs in Trouble!" and ended on November 14, 2013 with "The Return of Ralph" and "Little Bo's Sheep". This season had a total of 8 episodes (16 segments), bringing the overall episode total to 88 episodes (176 segments).
Martha Speaks is an animated series on PBS KIDS. Aimed at viewers between the ages of four and seven, Martha's educational goal is to teach kids new words.

Season 1 of the series ended with a total of 40 episodes; it premiered in September 2008. 30 episodes were produced for season 2 and then split in half to be aired over two broadcast seasons with 15 episodes each.
In this flashback episode, we learn how Martha started to talk. When Martha ate alphabet soup, the letters wet to her brain and she developed the ability to talk. And boy, did she talk. After her family complained that she talked too much, she stopped eating her soup. Then a cat burglar broke into her house, and Martha found herself speechless.
"Bye, Martha" Nefarious con artist Weaselgraft hatches a scheme to kidnap Martha by pretending to be Martha's long-lost owner . . . from Poland. The family sniffs something suspicious, but why has Martha suddenly begun speaking Polish?
