Fallingwater is a house designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935. Situated in the Mill Run section of Stewart township, in the Laurel Highlands of southwest Pennsylvania, about 70 miles (110 km) southeast of Pittsburgh in the United States, [4] it is built partly over a waterfall on the Bear Run river.
May 9, 2024 · Fallingwater, weekend residence in southwestern Pennsylvania designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935. The house’s daring construction over a waterfall was instrumental in reviving Wright’s career, and it became one of the most famous 20th-century buildings.
Fallingwater, a National Historic Landmark and a site inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is open for the 61 st tour season with a variety of experiences for visitors to gain insights into Wright’s organic architecture and design philosophy, and discover the beauty of Fallingwater and its natural landscape.
