Ally McBeal, attractive recent graduate from Harvard Law School, is harassed at work by a senior associate. She complains to the powers that be but ends up losing her job. By chance, Ally bumps into former classmate Richard Fish, who invites her to join his new firm.
Ally's favorite teacher from high school is dying, but she has a wonderful dream life which she would like to remain in. Ally decides to get a court order to force the hospital to put her into a coma. But things get complicated for Ally when she realizes that her teacher's doctor is Greg Butters.
A quirky series about a wistfully idealistic lawyer and her chaotic life at a Boston firm.
