  1. Arthur Hopcraft was a superb screen writer who adapted Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and other plays. He had the knack of conveying meaning in a few words and seemed to really capture the political world of the 70s (to me as a political outsider at least) whilst showing a man who was extremely likable but flawed. 6 out of 6 found this helpful.
