The BMW S68 is a twin-turbocharged V8 engine produced by BMW. Its first use was in the 2022 revised BMW X7 as the M60i. [1] A few weeks after its presentation, BMW showed a study of the XM with a more powerful version of the engine.
The BMW S68 engine is a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a 90-degree configuration. It has a bore of 89 mm and a stroke of 88.3 mm, resulting in a displacement of 4,395 cc. The compression ratio is 10.5:1, which is higher than the previous S63 engine.
