DJ Nash is the creator of ABC's A Million Little Things. He is also a writer and executive producer of the series.
He was also the showrunner of the series from season 1 to season 3.
Early Life
Not much is known about DJ Nash's early life. When he was 12, his father Mel became totally blind. Later, his parents divorced.
Career
At the beginning of the 2000s, Nash was a standup comedian living in New York with his wife. For Nash to pursue a career in comedy writing, they moved to Los Angeles. The two settled in, but Nash landed his first staff writing job on a show, Whoopi, which was based in New York. From 2005 to 2006, Nash was part of the writing team for Out of Practise. Then, he worked on 'Til Death, Traffic Light and Bent. In 2014, Nash created and sold his first comedy series, Growing Up Fisher, which aired on NBC. The next year, he created another comedy series for NBC, Truth Be Told. Both series were cancelled after one season. In 2017, Nash created and sold A Million Little Things to ABC. Eventually, the series received a pilot order, and later a series order. Nash wrote multiple episodes of the series, including the pilot, and directed three episodes. Following the ending of season 3, Nash stepped down as showrunner, and was replaced by Terrence Coli.
