Mürzzuschlag (German: [myɐ̯t͡sˈt͡suːʃlak]) is a town in northeastern Styria, Austria, the capital of the former Mürzzuschlag District. It is located on the Mürz river near the Semmering Pass, the border with the state of Lower Austria, about 85 km (53 mi) southwest of Vienna. The population is 8,684 (1 January 2016).

Mürzzuschlag ist eine Stadt im Bezirk Bruck-Mürzzuschlag und der Gerichtssitz des gleichnamigen Gerichtsbezirks im Nordosten der Steiermark (Österreich) mit 8047 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Jänner 2023). Mürzzuschlag war bis zur Bezirksfusion 2013 Bezirkshauptstadt des ehemaligen Bezirkes Mürzzuschlag.
Mürzzuschlag, town, east-central Austria, at the junction of the Fröschnitz and Mürz rivers, northeast of Bruck an der Mur. First mentioned in 1227, it was chartered in 1318 and has been an ironworking centre since the 14th century. It has medieval houses and a former Cistercian abbey with a church from 1496 and beautiful cloisters.
