Resident Evil 4 is a survival horror game by Capcom, originally released for the GameCube in 2005. Players control the special agent Leon S. Kennedy on a mission to rescue the US president's daughter, Ashley Graham, who has been kidnapped by a religious cult in rural Spain.
Production Studio 4 (第 4 開発部, dai 4 kaihatsubu?), otherwise Purodakushon sutajio 4 (プロダクション スタジオ4?), was a Capcom games development studio which existed from the late 1990s to 2005, ultimately being replaced with Division 1.
The games would be developed in-house by Capcom's Production Studio 4 with Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami as supervisor. [5] The lone exception was Killer7, to be produced at Grasshopper Manufacture, with Mikami as co-writer alongside director Suda51.
History and Background. Production Studio 4 was officially brought to life by Capcom in October 1999 as an internal development studio and came under the management of Shinji Mikami, the spiritual father of, among others, the Resident Evil series.
