Gulf Breeze is a city in Santa Rosa County, Florida. It is a suburb of Pensacola, and is in the Pensacola— Ferry Pass — Brent, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 6,340 at the 2020 census, up from 5,763 at the 2010 census.

The Gulf Breeze Story. Incorporated in 1961, Gulf Breeze remains the only city in South Santa Rosa County, FL. The 1960s expansion of the Pensacola Bay Bridge mobilized residents to adopt a city charter government in order to provide for public safety and environmental sustainability.
Gulf Breeze is a vibrant, family-centered community in south Santa Rosa County, in Northwest Florida. It is located on a peninsula strategically situated between Pensacola, to the west, and Pensacola Beach and the Gulf of Mexico, to the south.
