Satna is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It serves as the headquarters of Satna district. It is 7th largest city and 8th most populous city of the state. The city is 500 km east of the state capital Bhopal. The city is distributed over a land area of 111.9 square kilometres. [2]

It is situated about 25 miles (40 km) west of Rewa in an upland area on the Tons River, a tributary of the Ganges (Ganga) River. - Sharadha Devi Temple. The Maa Sharadha Devi Temple located in Maihar in Satna is another popular religious site. The temple is situated atop the Trikoota Hill, and around 1063 steps lead to the temple shrine on top.

- Sita Kund. Sita Kund, a tranquil pond surrounded by lush greenery, carries a legend of Goddess Sita’s purity. It’s said that during their exile, Sita bathed in this pond, endowing it with sacred properties.
