  2. East Windsor is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region. The population was 11,190 at the 2020 census. The town has five villages: Broad Brook, Melrose, Scantic, Warehouse Point and Windsorville.

    • Connecticut Trolley Museum. East Windsor has what is thought to be the oldest museum for electric railroading in the United States. The Connecticut Trolley Museum was set up in 1940 on the right of way of the Rockville Branch of the Hartford and Springfield Street Railway Company, which had been abandoned some 14 years earlier.
    • Connecticut Fire Museum. In a warehouse to the rear of the Trolley Museum is a separate attraction dedicated to the history of firefighting in the state.
