    Edirne (US: / eɪ ˈ d ɪər n ə, ɛ ˈ-/, [2] [3] Turkish: [e.ˈdiɾ.ne]) (Bulgarian: Одрин), historically known as Adrianople (Greek: Αδριανούπολις, romanized: Adrianoúpolis), is a city in Turkey, in the northwestern part of the province of Edirne in Eastern Thrace.
