Alison Folland (born August 10, 1978) is an American actress and filmmaker. Folland was born in Boston to a travel agent mother and a cardiologist father. [ citation needed ] She grew up in Wellesley , and attended high school at Buckingham Browne & Nichols , a private school in Cambridge .
"Things Behind the Sun," the title of which is taken from a Nick Drake song, is a heart-breaking story of the long-term effects of rape on a woman and one of her (unwilling) perpetrators. Sherry was gang-raped at age 12 by her friend Owen's older brother and friends.
