Britainy Beshear (née Colman, born July 11, 1979) is an American social worker and the first lady of Kentucky as the wife of the 63rd governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear. She advocates to help children, combat human trafficking, and support victims of domestic violence.
When deadly tornadoes hit Western Kentucky before Christmas in 2021, Mrs. Beshear organized a toy drive for the children who had just lost everything. She did the same to help children in Eastern Kentucky following the devastating floods in the summer of 2022.

The first lady, who's been married to the governor for more than 13 years, reportedly spends her free time volunteering with her children's schools and with the Family Scholar House, a youth organization in Louisville that works to end poverty.
From 2013 to 2019, according to her first lady bio, Britainy Beshear served on the board of directors for Maryhurst, an organization that works with victims of abuse through counseling, foster and adoption services, among others.
Britainy Beshear "is an active volunteer with the Family Scholar House and works closely with the staff and clients to end the cycle of poverty and to empower single parents," according to her first lady bio.
Andy and Britainy Beshear have two children, Will, 10, and Lila, 9. The first lady volunteers at their schools, according to the governor's office, and is "actively involved in Will and Lila’s education." In June, the couple announced a "Hope Gallery" art exhibit featuring work from children helped through Family Scholar House. Britainy Beshear created the gallery in 2016 "to give a voice to Kentucky children who face adversities and to promote art therapy programs," according to the attorney general's office.

Aug 4, 2024 · Andy Beshear and Britainy Beshear were married on April 1, 2006, meaning that they're pretty close to celebrating two decades of holy matrimony together in 2024.
