Today the Hollywood Foreign Press Association® (HFPA) announced that Golden Globe Award® winner and six-time nominee Eddie Murphy will be honored with the coveted Cecil B. deMille Award at the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

- Eddie Murphy, 2023. Comedian Eddie Murphy will receive the honor on Jan. 10, 2023, after the Globes took a break from television in 2022 amid controversy surrounding a lack of diversity within the Hollywood Foreign Press and sexual assault allegations against former president Philip Berk.
